I thank the governing body – in this case the Ministry of Education and Culture, who evaluated our project on merit. Out of 23 proposals, 8 were approved, with ours ranked second. I thank the project partners – Roma Foundation and Norsensus Mediaforum Foundation – Norway, as well as project manager Nedka Petrova for her efforts to make this project happen. The head of the project, Nedka Petrova, stated that the goal is to create conditions for prevention and improvement of the population’s attitude towards education and health needs. “The center will also provide accompanying services, such as providing food for the most vulnerable groups, there will be music and art classes, Bulgarian language classes. 13 people will work here – health and educational mediators, social workers, a music pedagogue, an art specialist,” shared Nedka Petrova.

“There are branches of many institutions in the neighborhood. The idea is not only to support them when they come with a specific problem, but for the specialists to consult and guide them so that they don’t walk around the institutions. The idea is to get the population to recognize the institutions as benevolent place,” added Dr. Nadia Taneva.
