The 10th Anniversary Edition of Night Plovdiv 2014 will be held on 12&13 September

The program features more than 120 events and a special anniversary bonus

On 12&13 September Plovdiv will host the 10th anniversary edition of the Plovdiv Night of Museums and Galleries. More than 60 000 visitors from across the country are expected to attend a program of events to be held in museums, galleries, theaters, cinemas, clubs bars and open spaces throughout the city. As in previous editions, the program is supported by the Special Projects Fund of the Open Arts Foundation in partnership with the co-organizers, the Municipality of Plovdiv and the America for Bulgaria Foundation.

On the first night, the program will focus on the festival’s core participants – more than 20 municipal, state and private museums and galleries, who have prepared special exhibitions, concerts and presentations. On the second night, more than 30 theaters, universities, community centers, bookshops, clubs, bars, studios, workshops and other alternative art spaces will take part in the Culture&Club program.

The City & Public Spaces program, with exhibitions, concerts, performances and presentations, will be held throughout the two nights. A special children’s program will be organized in selected locations, providing entertainment during the whole weekend. Some of the most active cultural organizations and festivals from Plovdiv and the country will take part in the program, as will the most important international cultural institutes and centers represented in Bulgaria, with input from the United States, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, South Korea, Italy, Finland and others.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary edition of Night Plovdiv 2014, the Open Arts Foundation has invited the curatorial team of the Art Affairs & Documents Foundation to prepare a special program of events with Bulgarian and international participants focusing on the cultural locations featured in the Alternative Map of Plovdiv.

*Admission to all events is free.
