Objectives and Expected Results: 

The project is aimed at improving the quality of life of 225 persons with disabilities, as well as in general the people with disabilities and their families in the Municipality of Plovdiv. For this purpose, the construction of 15 new social services for residential care is foreseen – 5 for persons with dementia, 4 for persons with intellectual disabilities and 6 for persons with physical disabilities, as well as a center for social support of persons with disabilities and their families. All new social services will be located in the city of Plovdiv in an appropriate and inclusive environment in the local community. According to the investment projects, resident services will be housed in 8 buildings with a total built-up area of ​​8,008.64 sq.m., and the social support center in one building with a built-up area of ​​576.9 sq.m. In the residential care services, the possibility of independent living will be ensured for all users in small groups of up to 5 people. All buildings will be accessible and fully adapted for persons with disabilities. Separate rooms for the service staff, as well as appropriate landscaping and installation of park furniture, are planned. Parking spaces are also planned. Photovoltaic installations with a capacity of up to 30 kW or a total of 480 kW will be installed on the buildings of each of the 16 services. After the commissioning of the buildings, the delivery and installation of the equipment, the 16 services will be able to provide conditions in line with all standards and regulations.
