Objectives and Expected Results:  The current project aims to provide, in correspondence with the purpose of Procedure BG16RFOP001-8.006, support for increasing the capacity of the Municipality of Plovdiv for effective and efficient implementation of the 2021-2027 “Development of Regions” Programme and thus – to lead to a quality use of EU funds at the local level. The project will be implemented in 3 main activities:
1. Organising and conducting trainings to increase the capacity of the beneficiary, including – in the context of management and implementation of integrated territorial investments (ITI), for the 2021-2027 program period;
2. Preparation of documentation (cost-benefit analysis/ financial analysis/ feasibility studies) in connection with participation in project proposals under the “Development of Regions” Programme 2021-2027;

3. Purchase and delivery of computer and peripheral equipment to ensure the work of structures and persons responsible for the preparation and implementation of the projects under the 2021-2027 “Development of Regions” Programme and of the territorial bodies under priority axis 1 of the “Development of Regions” Programme. The implementation of the complex of measures and activities under the project will provide the necessary support and conditions for increasing the capacity and expertise of the Municipality of Plovdiv for the selection, management and implementation of projects related to Operational Programme “Development of Regions” 2021-2027 and the approaches applicable to the same, along with the provision of the necessary conditions and preparatory actions for the preparation, submission and implementation of quality project proposals of importance for the local community and the development of the Southern Regional Development Centre, as well as with a view to the appropriate utilization of resources from European funds. In the implementation of the project, the horizontal policies and principles of equal opportunities, non-discrimination and gender equality will be observed, according to applicability.
